From Japan to SL

Tried to wear old clothing on the Maitreya body, starting with old skins. There are various ways to do so, but this time I will introduce the simplest one.
1: Wear the “Maitreya Bake on Mesh Relay HUD”. If you do not find it in the package, please get a free one at the shop.
2: Then right click on the HUD to make the body red as shown in the middle picture.
3: Remove the “Maitreya Body Alpha” to show the classic skin. This time I used a dark one for comparison.




If you get some strange shape on the way, it could be a normal situation. The left gray body is an interim stage that will disappear soon. The middle picture shows the doble skin, that can be solved by wearing the “Maitreya Body Alpha” again. If the head skin were doubled as the right, wear the Head Alpha (in my case “Genus Head Alpha”). Please see an old article regarding mesh head textures.

The left shows a case when the skin became transparent instead of red, which can be fixed by selecting some Maitreya skin again, by selecting SKIN PRESETS in SKINS & OPTIONS tab, on the “Maitreya Mesh Body HUD”. There are color pallet and darkness slider on the middle for free adjustment of the skin, that is effective to reduce color difference between body and head at the neck. The right could be a bug, where a part of the body turned red. Even with no adjustment on Alpha layer, some cases a hand only turns red. Both cases can be resolved by repeating the proper process.



Since the Maitreya skin has a capability to adjust color and darkness, there might not be necessary to use old skins on the body. If you would use tattoo, this process is essential, but I do not use any. Next time I will try to use old clothing.
