From Japan to SL

Have you experienced to be a strange face while changing skin to old one using BOM? I confirmed again how to use old skins on Bento. The 1 below is wearing Bento skin and an old skin together. Since I do not have mesh body, the body skin should be selected to match the head one. This case I used darker one intentionally to show the difference. The white one is Bento and black, old. In order to use an old skin, BOM should be turned ON, making the Bento skin red as shown in 2. If the Head Alpha is taken off, the old skin will come up.




In order to use old skins, the BOM should be ON and Head Alpha should be OFF. But the process will be different depending on the order.
1: The Bento skin shown above has two conditions, BOM ON and BOM OFF. Figure 1 shows the case with BOM OFF.
4: In a case where BOM is ON, and then if Head Alpha OFF first, two skins will be doubled.
5: Then if BOM OFF, the Bento skin turns to white. Then if BOM ON, the old skin appears as 3.
6: If the Head Alpha is returned to ON, the old skin disappears but the Bento skin stays white. As same as the red situation, it will return to 1 by selecting the Bento skin again.
7: The total gray should be a bug. In my case it was not be resolved by waiting and no operation is accepted. Even re-log cannot fix it. The only way was to switch to another avatar.



The old body makes possible to use all old clothing including mesh ones. Even with Bento head, it is possible to use hair, sunglasses, or accessories as usual. It may be no good for movable parts such as piercing for nose, lips or tongue, those I never used though.
