UWA Arts
Visited the July event of UWA 3D Art Challenge that was at the voting stage. This is ‘Great Balls of Fire’. The right object is a media screen on which faces or sceneries are projected in time to cool music. That is like a kaleidoscope. The joy of shooting moving arts is to cut out one figure out of ever changing appearance, and it is challenging to find the best shot with a picture that implies the beauty, like shooting a dance show.

‘Living Fractal’: The floating pattern on the multifold screen is a real kaleidoscope. It is a pleasure of the three dimensional arts that allows us to jump in or fly over to get a bird’s eye view.

The beams of light at the middle is ‘Error Code 1.8’. This one also changes the shape. The Living Fractal is at the right. The left is another art. The layout of the presentation is well considered. Changing light or view angle would provide nice look.

‘The Armony (harmony)’: When there are two striped pattern doubled, it causes a moire effect that also happens between a striped object and pixels of a PC being a trouble in shooting. But this one is daringly use the moire in the art. The pattern changes drastically with a slight movement of camera. The white one is a church organ and the moire could be harmony of sounds that shakes up my body and is said to be able to break staind glasses.

‘Fantasy’: This is a part of a large art. On a wall on a rock floating in the air, there is a hand holding a hut like a bird cage, and one of the pigeons is flying outside freely.

In the small bird cage hanging from the huge hand, the world of this art itself is set as a three dimensional miniature. I do not see what this means, but surely this is a fantasy.
There are so many arts presented in this July event, this article will be continued to the next.
