While talking about Bento head, I said it is not interesting since the nose is not moving. Someone pointed, “What will you do by moving nose?” So let me make an excuse. Eyes and mouth are important for facial expression, but I think nose is also taking a big role. I tend to watch other’s nose maybe because my nostrils move easily in RL. There are many facial expressions on avatars but nose is not moving in most cases. My nose may be too small.
At the Poti’s bar, Miss Milky had a beautiful Bento face, so I asked her to make several faces. Eyes and mouth, especially tongue move drastically, but as she said it will be hard to find the usage and it destroys such a beautiful face. I watched the movie “La La Land” and was touched by the expressive facial signals of Emma Stone. Real person may not do such expressions but her action fully utilizing facial muscles was amazing, it IS the Academy Award. Is there a motion capture for facial expression? Coming back to the nose, there is not so much movement also in this HUD. If you would like to meet Nilky, please visit here.

The below is a singer. It may not be common to see such a cute move but I think it is essential to change nose shape when laughing out loudly. I think it is partially due to motionless nose to make avatar face like a doll and it is hard to find a nice beaming face in SL.
The below are old articles regarding face. There are so many beautiful noses in SL but it is sad that there is no movement, isn’t it?
