Visited the Grand Finale of the full SIM art by Haveit. There were more than forty guests on the special stage. More than 8700 prims are used for the total art, the main building has about 5000, and the giant uses 1800prims. If these prims were physically collapsed, would the computation be capable to handle them in front of such big audiences? Where shall I put the camera? I was so excited.
Fire on the main tower, and it started collapsing from the top. But it did not release whole linkage and sunk down slowly as animation.
The top part of the library and the inside became visible. All bots were gone together with their research material. The remain were the teacher, and for no special reason, my proposal held by two black bots.
I had thought that this library would also collapse, so I was waiting for it with my camera set next to the teacher, but it did not happen. I asked Haveit later and he said, “hehe... I couldn't do that.”
The giant was collapsed. I wandered where to set the camera to the last minute. Since it is not easy to feel scale in SL, I used long-shot, and was considering that it would take about seven seconds for free fall from 260m, but the collapsed part was only bottom half about 100m. If so, it had been better to see the large object falling down from the stage set at the bottom left. Regretfully I went out in RL and failed to take pictures of the wreckage. Thank you Haveit for the nice art! I am looking forward to seeing next one.
